Meet the Board

Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year but they cannot do it alone. Get to know their names and faces, and feel free to ask them if you have questions.

Rebecca Taylor

PRESIDENT - Rebecca Taylor

I am the mom of two current Oster students (Amelia in 5th grade, Adelyn in 1st grade) and one alumni (Audrey 7th grade) now at Dartmouth. I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty (literally) as I was selected as the 2018-2019 Oster Volunteer of the year for my leadership in the revitalization of the garden. To do this, I spent hours writing grants, getting district approvals, creating plans, purchasing materials, organizing volunteers, and physically working in our new kindergarten and upper-grade gardens. Prior to “digging in” at Oster, I was a Process Engineer at Boeing and have held leadership positions at local non-profits. I not only love to see plants blossom and grow but also the community of Oster Elementary.

CO-VICE PRESIDENT - Nicole Perakis

I am the mom of three boys. I have a 9th grader at Branham, a 6th grader at Dartmouth and a 4th grader at Oster. I have been a part of the Oster community for 9 years. I have been involved with Project Cornerstone and Art Vistas, as well as helping in the classroom whenever possible. I have also been assisting with school picture day for the last 3 years. I am excited to be a part of the new board and hope to foster more community engagement with the Home and School Club. I’m looking forward to seeing more fun activities return to our campus for the kids and families to enjoy.

I am excited to be a part of the HSC team and serve as co-vice president. I am a mom of two Oster students (2nd grader Riley and TK Ethan). I have a hospitality industry background as a pastry chef working in restaurants and bakeries. I have been involved with Oster’s enrichment programs and field trips, as well as fun events such as movie nights and glow party. I look forward to a great year with Oster!

VP Technology - Vibhor Goyal

I am a dad of two current Oster students (Adit in 3rd grade and Neel in 2nd grade). I am relatively new to Oster family, we started here about a year ago and I am super glad to be part of the community. I am a Software Engineer by profession and have been helping Oster Home & School Club with various technical needs.

Julie Quinn

SECRETARY - Julie Quinn

Heading into my 6th year as an Oster parent - 5th grader Pippa and 2nd grader Ainsley - I am excited to take advantage of the extra time afforded by working from home to become more engaged in the Oster community. My working life is dedicated to creating affordable housing opportunities for low-income people, most recently at nonprofits in fundraising, investor relations, and communications roles. Outside of work I love spending time with my girls, watching movies, reading, hiking, and catching up with friends.

CO-TREASURER - Christina Herrera

This will be my third year serving on the HSC board as Co-Treasurer. I have a 5th and 4th grader at Oster. I have volunteered over the years as a classroom helper, Project Cornerstone reader, Art Vistas instructor, yard duty person and I currently co-chair Frozen Fridays with Karin Angelo. Before becoming a mom, I worked for a private foundation in grants management and have recently embarked on a new career as a Personal Trainer. I am excited for another fantastic, fun-filled year at Oster!

CO-TREASURER - Chanel Kim

I am thrilled to join the HSC team and serve as Co-Treasurer. I have a 2nd grader at Oster, and another daughter who will attend next year. I enjoy working with numbers and my background extends into retail finance, banking, and most recently, student transportation. I look forward to an exciting school year at Oster.
