The talent show is currently scheduled to take place on Wed, May 15th during school hours. 

All interested performers will need to sign up and register for auditions by Feb 26, 2024. 

 


How to Sign Up for Talent Show Auditions: 

  • Parents log in to your osterhsc.org account
  • Hover over the tab titled "My Account"
  • Click on "Manage Family Account'
  • Scroll down the page until you see "Information Forms"
  • Click on both of the following forms and submit them by Feb 26th in order for your child to perform in the talent show:
    • "Talent Show Registration Form"
    • "Talent Show Parental Consent Form" *Parents will need to complete this form for EACH performer


Anyone who auditions will be given the opportunity to perform, however auditions and dress rehearsals are mandatory. Auditions will be held after school during an early dismissal week on Tues, March 5th and Thurs, March 7th from 1:15pm - 2:30pm in the cafeteria. These will be "closed auditions", meaning only those interested in performing may watch the audition. More information regarding auditions can be found on the Registration Form.


Important Dates:
 

  • Feb 26th - Deadline to sign up for auditions, submit the Registration and Parental Consent forms, and upload any music needed to the Oster Talent Show Google Drive.
  • March 5th & March 7th @1:15 - 2:30pm - Auditions held in the cafeteria
  • May 7th, May 8th, May 9th, May 13th, & May 14th - Mandatory Dress Rehearsals (2:40 - 4pm, except Wednesday May 8th will be from 1:15-2:30pm.)
  • Wed, May 15th - Performance during school hours

 


Performance Guidelines:

  • All acts must be 60 seconds or shorter.
  • You must audition with a completed act that you intend to perform.
  • After your act receives final approval, you must perform the act exactly how it was approved.
  • All acts must be G rated and appropriate for all ages. This means no inappropriate language (including song lyrics), no violence, and no mature themes. Acts containing or depicting weapons, vulgar, violent, unsafe, discriminatory, or any other inappropriate material of any kind will not be allowed.
  • All acts must adhere to the school's dress code and are not allowed to have suggestive moves, content, or lyrics.
  • Singers:
    • All songs must be sung to either a Karaoke track, instrumental music, or a cappella. Singing to tracks with lead vocals will not be permitted.
  •  Regarding Music: Any performers requiring recorded music accompaniment must provide the following:
    • Upload your edited song file (must be no longer than 1 minute in length) to Oster's Talent Show Google Drive. Please label a folder with your performer's first & last name and then upload the file to your performer's corresponding folder. (If you are performing anything to music that isn't being played live, this applies to you!) Any questions can be sent to talentshow@osterhsc.orgEDITED MUSIC FILES DUE BY FEB 26th.
